Long heralded~Chicago's most romantic restaurant~Geja's Cafe features fondue dining, fine wines and live Classical and Flamenco guitarists. Open 7 days a week. Fondue dining - cooking at the table - is a great way to give your family and friends a unique experience. Geja's features an extensive, moderately priced wine list, with many selections by-the-glass. Open 7 nights a week. Reservations are highly recommended, but all walk-ins are welcomed. We would be delighted to help plan your private party. Due to the nature of fondue dining we do not allow children under the age of 10. For men, a collared shirt and dress pants are appropriate. For women, business wear or dressy casual attire would be most comfortable. We look forward to serving you.

If you've never been here, find that special someone and wow them! Or even just gather a group of friends and enjoy the great food, drinks, and company! This is Chicago's most romantic restaurant. They have an excellent cozy and classy atmosphere, dim lighting, flavorful food and perfectly paired drinks. They are always a great choice for special dates and enjoyable evenings. No matter the occasion, Gejas Cafe is an amazing dining experience.

Very fun. Great date night. More expensive than you'd hope but definitely a great time. The servers are top notch.

Very unique and fun dining experience. The cheese and chocolate fondues are delicious!! Lots of choices of food to dip! Service is excellent. Our waiter was funny and made the whole experience very fun and light hearted. Would highly recommend. Very beautiful and charming inside.

Don't get me wrong this is the most romantic place I have ever been to, but I only had two problems! The portions they gave us was to little for the amount of money I spent which was about 250 not including tip or valet! Also the hostess told my girlfriend that a winter hat was not allowed inside the restaurant, but yet again I saw a teenager with a whole adidas outfit. Online they clearly state no sports attire so if they enforce it on one person they need to do the same with all. Other then that the experience was great and the food as though it was cooked by us it was delicious.

Amazing ambience, food, and music. We had Mary as our server, who was fantastic and helped us figure out the menu. :)

Great fondue. Very cozy romantic atmosphere. A very entertaining interactive dining experience. Great for a date or group.

Fun date night. At around $150 for two with a discount to dine at a table 2’x2’ in a half busy restaurant it’s not a venue I would recommend. It was a good experience, but a date night at home would be more fun, plus half the price.

Nice place for fondue in Chicago. Their cheese fondue was very tasty and creamy. I just wish they had a better bread assortment to go with it. The chocolate fondue was also very good, but I wish it came with more fruits to be dipped in (instead of the many sweet options - cake, churros, etc.)

This is a romantic restaurant. The wife and I visited for our first anniversary and it was lovely. It’s quiet: no kids allowed under 10 (live fire at your table). despite what looked like small portions at first sight we did get full. So basically you’re taking fruit/bread on a fondue fork and dipping it in melting cheese or chocolate. It sounds odd but it’s nice. When you get to your meal it’s slices of meats you chose with a fondue pot with hot oil to cook the meat in. So yes you’re literally cooking your own meal at your table. $$$ It’s on the expensive side definitely so do google the menu and prepare for the occasion. Lovely setting and service was perfect. Our waiter was very helpful. I enjoyed the experience and plan to revisit in the future.

Great service and atmosphere for a date night. Wine is good, cheese and chocolate fondue is good, but feel the price is slightly higher than it needs to be. Overall great experience ðŸ‘

My partner and I purchased a groupon for this place. The ambiance is very intimate. The wait staff was very friendly and informative. The only issues was the table we sat in was tucked away in a corner my chair could not move backwards because there was no room. We were so close to our neighbors that we could over hear their conversations. We decided to do the beef option. It comes with a cheese fondue with veggies for an appetizer. Then the main course with a bunch of dipping sauces. And the dessert was a chocolate fondue with fruits. We were full by the end. I would definitely come back. I think the price is worth it with the groupon but it’s pretty price without it. They also have complimentary coat check here which is nice.

Had reservations for my wife's birthday last week. Certainly a very romantic place with great ambiance and high quality food. I wouldn't say it was the most romantic of all, it was quite loud especially with tables stacked really close to each other. The food was really tasty, only gripe, not much to appreciate if you are a vegetarian, you just fry raw veggies in the oil.Dessert with roasting marshmallows on your table, ended the experience on a high!

It was our very first fondue experience, so we didn’t know what to expect. Our server was nice, but his accent is so strong, and he did not explain the menu to us, so communication was hard and unclear. Also the fire of the cheese pot went off even when we were still eating the appetizer salad. But because we have no explanation, we did not know what to do and if it’s supposed to be like that. Food was ok IMO, more on the expensive side.

Best Ambience ever for a good date, nice service and the fondue cooking was easy

We celebrated Valentine’s Day and the restaurant was so romantic and so festive for the holiday! The food and service were EXCELLENT. The sangria is AMAZING. The whole experience is so much FUN. We will definitely be visiting this restaurant again in the future!

This place is great, has a Romantic/Intimate atmosphere. We went with our 12yr old, he had a great time, being able to interact. Next time, we shall leave him at home. I would skip on cheese bread and Salad, to hold out for main entrees and the chocolate fondue. I wish they had served a few more marshmallows.
Stephanie Denny
Phenomenal service all around. Every single person that we interacted with was helpful and friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a romantic dinner setting. We went for my husband's birthday and really enjoyed ourselves.

It's always great to go here. My hubby and I go once a year. It's our romantic date. We are always so full when we leave. It's something different. Can't wait to bring my boys with us. Love all the sauces, the cheese and chocolate fondue are so yummy!!

I love this place the atmosphere is cozy and delightful. Indulge you taste buds from the house salad, cheese to chocolate fondue with all the trimmings. You can choose your main course and prepare it yourself. Excellent service!!

This place is for fondue champs! This place is for first dates. You can come here to celebrate pretty much anything. The process of eating here is very methodical - a few different ways to fondue (cheese, cook, and chocolate [Belgian that is!!!!]). The service is excellent. You'll think at first that you don't get a ton of food, but because of the "way you eat" which is fondue style - little bits of food over the course of an hour. Mix that with your favorite wine and you have yourself a very memorable night. Very intimate setting.

We've been here many times. This one was not up-to-par. The oil was too hot and splashed us quite a bit until the waiter finally showed up. Also, there was another guest who did not have much of an inside voice, and used foul language...so that brought the experience down a notch. Not that I blame the restaurant for that. Will still come again.

Beautiful ambiance and decor. Service is quick and helpful for newcomers. Wide selection of wines and mixed cocktails for those that prefer it.

Romantic, cozy and friendly. Good food!

Love this place. It is a little small, but the service is excellent, food delicious, and we ended up making friends from the next table. (Look to Groupon for some decent deals and go.)

I recently went here for my anniversary and it was by far the most romantic dinner we have ever been to. The atmosphere was very romantic with the dim lights and the live music. The food was terrific and was a fun experience trying all the different courses. Michael, who was our server was great as there was a lot to explain with making the meats and he also helped fixed an issue with the bill. I highly recommend coming here if you are looking for a romantic meal in Chicago.

If I'm within an hour of Geja's Cafe, I make sure to eat there. Great food, wonderful atmosphere and fantastic employees! It is definitely a can't miss place.

Geja's Cafe has the absolute nicest, kindest, friendliest staff in the Western Hemisphere. They also have a cozy and romantic atmosphere, an extensive wine list and pots of hot liquids so I don't recommend bringing young children. I do recommend eating all of the churros off the chocolate fondue set while your date is in the bathroom. There's some good non-permit, non-meter parking to the north on Clark.Shout out to Shannon B!

It was a nice evening. We were early but they set up our table. Our server and assistant were knowledgeable and attentive. It took awhile for food to come out, but i think it's because they want you to enjoy the ambiance. They also took special care in separating my order, as my friend has a shellfish allergy. It is quite expensive for what you get though. The value all seems to lie in the ambiance. Be prepared to spend your budgeted month for date night!

One memorable night with an excellent dining experience! The surprise cake made my birthday even more special!

Very romantic atmosphere. We got the cheese plate appetizer and the 1 x seafood plate for two people and that was more than enough. The only problem is that it felt a little crammed. Reservation is a must !

Geja's is by far one of the best restaurants I've been to in Chicago. It doesn't have the fusion menu that most trendy places do but that is EXACTLY why I love it. Its interactive and yummy. This is place where its quiet enough to have a chat but the atmosphere is loud enough were you don't feel like everyone is listening to your conversation. The staff is great. Never one bad experience of a rude waitstaff. Always on point. And the food and the sauces are out of this world. Its great for couples, a few friends. Make sure to make reservations.

This was our first time here and we really enjoyed it all. The atmosphere and decor makes you feel that you are in another country. We had the four course meal and used a Groupon to save money, I highly recommend doing that as this place is expensive. The food was very good and we were already talking about when to come back. I look forward to visiting again.
